Access control is the ability to permit or deny
the use of something by someone'. That's the 'technical' definition but
in security it generally refers to restricting access to buildings or
areas inside buildings to only those authorised to be there.

cards, security badges, biometrics or other such devises in conjunction with electronic locks, turnstyles and
gates. We can design a system that limits who goes where and when and by using dedicated
software the client can program their own system when they require changes eg staff leaving or new staff starting.
Access control can have other advantages including keeping records of
who entered which door and when. Access control can work
in conjunction with CCTV or alarm systems or can run
